So I have to apologize for the first couple of photos in this entry because they unfortunately got stuck with an obnoxious time stamp. I decided to change cameras and didn't realize it was there until after these shots. Also, I promise my entire blog won't be of my dogs! They just kind of happened to be there today...

Since my camera doesn't allow me to manually choose the shutter speed or aperture, I mostly played around with the exposure and the ISO, as well as the white balance. Luckily the review still told me what shutter speed and aperture it used so I could take note.

The first 5 photos are all with a high ISO of 1600, with varying exposures:
Exposure -2
f17
1/1000
Exposure +2
f5.9
1/640

Exposure -2
f9.0
1/1500

The last 5 pictures vary with ISO and exposure, but are all shot using the cloudy white balance setting:

I really wanted the first photo I posted to be one of my dogs, because they are my favorite subjects to shoot. I would go crazy without my dogs (I have three), and I love to capture everything they do. Even though I don't have much experience in photography, I have always had a big interest in looking at art, and attempting to make my own. I first wanted to become an engineer because I liked the creative aspect of it, figuring out what goes together to make things work; however, I found my classes did not capture this the way I had always wanted, so I decided to break away from it, and get back to a more liberal class schedule. I'm hoping that in this class I can find out how I can create better quality pictures and maybe develop something more than just a hobby.
